White Teas

Our White Teas

White teas are only produced on a very limited scale and are among the rarest in the world.   The young buds are traditionally plucked at daybreak, while they are still unopened (sleeping).   Immediately after picking, the buds are quickly dried in a natural way to stop the oxidation process.   Due to this natural drying process, white teas have almost no caffeine and are reputed to contain more antioxidants than any other tea.   This tea is probably the most carefully harvested and processed of all teas.   White tea has a delicate, mellow taste that is both subtle and sweet, and the young buds produce a pale, straw-colored liquor.   Not a tea for dunking biscuits; please treat with tender loving care and we guarantee that you will reap the rewards.

A new comer to the tea world; it has already begun to collect its following.   It won’t be too long before the secret gets out and white tea becomes as popular as its green sibling.
