Information:
As a way of saying thank you to the chocolate makers of
Switzerland, and herbal tea that reflects the flavor of one of
their finest delicacies - the white truffle. White
chocolate, which forms the base of white truffles, derives its
milky color from the presence of up to 3 times the amount of
cocoa butter found in traditional dark chocolates. The
cocoa butter gives the truffles a very smooth, mild chocolately
taste which is also evident in the flavor of this blend.
The character of the white chocolate is perfectly balanced by
the subtleties of the Rooibos and the hint of mint that was
added to help round out the blend. The result is in our
humble opinion, this is one of the tastiest Rooibos blends on
the market.
Like all herbal teas, the Rooibos based blend is caffeine
free. Studies over the years have determined that Rooibos
tea is high in iron, potassium, zinc, manganese and
sodium. Any Rooibos based drink is great for sipping
morning, noon and night, but for the actively health conscious
out there, it als makes a fantastic post workout refresher.
Hot Brewing Method:
Bring freshly drawn cold water to just before a boil. Place
1 teaspoon of tea for each cut in the teapot. Pour your hot
water over the leaves. Let steep for 3-7 minutes according to
taste (The longer the steeping time the stronger the tea). Add
milk and sugar to taste.
Iced tea brewing method:
Place 6 teaspoons of tea into a teapot or heat resistant
pitcher. Pour 1 1/4 cups of very hot water over to
tea. Steep for 5 minutes. Pour the tea into your
serving pitcher straining the leaves. Add ice and garnish
and sweeten to taste if desired.
